Memorial Ride raises funds for DRHC

Nearly 100 motorcyclists took part in the 5th Annual Memorial Ride in late August 2022 as participants and supporters contributed towards fundraising efforts for the Dauphin Regional Health Centre (DRHC). The Memorial Ride made its way through Parkland-area communities, which included a route that ended up in Rossburn.

Hockey Fights Cancer Night

Members of the U18 AAA Parkland Rangers were on hand in three local communities Feb. 24 to present proceeds from their Hockey Fights Cancer Night, which was held back on Oct. 30, 2021. The annual recognition night raised a total of $3,600 dollars, with a split of $1,200 each presented to three Community Cancer Programs within the Prairie Mountain Health region.

Dauphin Health Care Auxiliary wraps up with final contributions

The Dauphin Health Care Auxiliary completed its final act of business February 9, with two cheques presented to the Dauphin Hospital Foundation designated for use within both the hospital and personal care home.  Auxiliary executive members signed off on two donations, of $23,156 each, to be used for future contributions to both facilities.  The Auxiliary officially announced it was ceasing operation back on January 12, 2022 after 120 years of volunteer service and fundraising efforts.

Large estate donation for Dauphin Hospital Foundation

The Dauphin Hospital Foundation wishes to formally recognize a bequest from the estate of Anne Stewart. Mrs. Stewart passed away on January 23, 2021 and left the Foundation $100,000. This was on top of a $15,000 donation Anne personally made to the Foundation in 2020 in memory of her husband Peter. Dauphin Hospital Foundation Chairman Greg Thompson indicated the Board remains truly touched by this act of generosity.

MB Telehealth Dauphin Site: Growth and Increased Activity Meeting Patient Needs

Telehealth at the Dauphin site is nothing short of exciting! There has been a large increase in activity at this telehealth site with an ever-growing list of clinical applications, including consultations with specialist providers, increased attendance at educational sessions by public and health professionals and use of the link for administrative meetings.

Dauphin Hospital Foundation contributes to recent equipment purchases

The Dauphin Hospital Foundation was pleased to recently contribute towards the purchase of two new pieces of medical equipment for Dauphin Regional Health Centre (DRHC) totaling nearly $61,000.

A new portable ultrasound machine and associated equipment was secured at a cost of nearly $54,000. Pictured with the new diagnostic unit are Clinical Resource Nurse Kristen Mallet and Dr. Scott Kish.

Memorial Ride raises funds for Dauphin Regional Health Centre

The 4th annual Memorial Ride, which took place August 14th, raised $2,700 for equipment needs at Dauphin Regional Health Centre.  This year, the ride —organized by JDS Laundromat and Tony’s Auto & Electric— was dedicated to all the lost souls from Residential Schools.

Some 75 motorcycle enthusiasts and representatives from the Dauphin Car Club participated this year. The Ride covered about 230 kilometres and took participants on a scenic route through Kelwood, Neepawa, Minnedosa and Riding Mountain National Park.
