Hospital Foundation statement on the passing of Dr. Allan Lysack

On behalf of the Dauphin Hospital Foundation, we offer our sincere condolences to family and friends on the passing of Dr. Allan Lysack.

Foundation holds virtual Annual General Meeting

Chairman Doug Deans retires after 15 years

The Dauphin Hospital Foundation held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) by way of virtual means Monday, October 26th. The audited financial statements for the period ending March 31, 2020 were presented by Jason Zamrykut of Zaplitny and Zamrykut. Following a question and answer session, the audited statements were adopted and the Auditor (Zapitny and Zamrykut) was appointed for the 2020/21 fiscal year.

Memorial Ride raises funds for DRHC

Over 100 motorcyclists and motorists took part in the third annual Memorial Ride in late August as supporters contributed towards fundraising efforts for the Dauphin Regional Health Centre (DRHC). The Memorial Ride made its way through Parkland communities, which included routes reaching Dauphin, Ste. Rose, Waterhen and Winnipegosis.

Cargill and Corteva team up to aid Dauphin Palliative Care Unit Redevelopment

The Dauphin Regional Health Centre Palliative Care Redevelopment Project has once again received a boost from Cargill Limited and additional backing from Corteva Agriscience. Thanks to their efforts, and support from local farmers for purchasing Corteva’s product, a $2,500 donation was made back to this very important health-care project for the region.

Cuddle cot donated to DRHC

The Dauphin Regional Health Centre (DRHC) recently received a generous contribution that will assist the hospital’s maternity unit. The Compassionate Friends of South Western Manitoba donated just over $4,000 to the Dauphin Hospital Foundation that went towards the purchase of a Cuddle Cot.

The Cuddle Cot is a cooling device that is placed in a baby bassinet. It will enable parents who have suffered the loss of a baby, to have more time to grieve and say goodbye to their loved one.

Local Shrine Club Donates to DRHC

The Dauphin and District Shrine Club has made a significant contribution towards children’s care at Dauphin Regional Health Centre (DRHC).  The Shrine Club contributed close to $6,000, via the Dauphin Hospital Foundation, that helped purchase a Broselow Pediatric Emergency Cart and related support equipment.   The Broselow Cart is a colour-coded system for children (infant to 12).  Its key features allow for quick access to correct sizes of medical equipment in the event of an emergency.
